I sell Opal claims to dig your own opals on and millsites that you can camp on out of the camp ground. The people who sell fee digging won’t tell you there are options to paying every day unless you ask about me, Swordfish Mining as they are in the business of hosting day diggers.
I dont escort you onto to private property trying to get you here by saying it is public or take half your opal if you got lucky and it costs nothing a day when you own. Call for details.
I’ve had to keep up with site revisions and creations and deletions of entire webpages with a history I have to go to Archive to look at now. I have issues with statements of non fact stated as such or worse facts left out when it comes to “telling all”.
I live here & not just here to make a buck from somewhere else most of the year. Swordfish Mining’s information & more year round, besides the whole resident in a tiny town thing, fills my life. Do you know I have a gem silica & chrysocolla mine here for sale you could run a fee dig from? The Kspar and other varieties are listed on Esty for less than anybody else, even with the same stuff as they want 200 -400 bucks for a slab of the gem silica mixed in smokey quartz at the gift shop.
This is a private endevour, not corporate, or run from some mailbox or free website. It annoys me to no end when people online lie that they established a claim here when they have never come to erect a location monument as state law requires. Come meet me or at least call if you are even thinking of getting a place to dig of your own out on BLM land where the real laws apply.

Since 1993, when I moved here after just coming to fee dig earlier, I have walked this entire place and know the ground. Every claim had corners tagged or put in by me for I found there were a lot of lazy people who never even looked or walked their own maps, then gave up. Ive seen almost every worthy prospect not locked up by a fee dig when the owners died or went away along with all the places I found on my own. Always with permission and I am very close to the owners at Opal Negra, Opal Queen and the Rainbow Ridge.
Do YOU want your own place you can use tools in the refuge and not pay? Yes, the refuge outlawed even hand tools such a a rake shovel hammer on both the Oregon and Nevada Wildlife refuges.

Just to remind everyone I am the undisputed best guide for mining opals at the fee digs or discovering and mining the wild opal with with dozens of staked claims. Give yourself the gift of due diligence and honest research when it comes to opal mining in Virgin Valley. I am still LIVING HERE doing this with a great reputation.
Come see the truth for yourselves. All claims can be proven legally and demonstrated at the location monument on the ground by the opals or in the recorders office within the legal time limits of months after staking the claim and still be legal. The BLM are getting better with publishing their records, but it used to take months for decisions.
You can afford a precious opal & petrified wood without any limits claim, no one can buy the deeded land title in this Wildlife Refuge from the FWS, only the rights, to dig opals out of and live on wilderness. This is the way.
I will teach you how to bring in another ” $550,000 mine” or “quarter million business” mining (Their claim of value, not mine) or how to just rockhound for free since the recreation superintendent stopped playing nice and banned all tools even hand tools on both refuges here and in Oregon. I do not just drop clients after a sale like some seller does. Many owners have hired me over the decades for numerous skilled jobs.
All the records are available to the public, or I have copies photos of nothing being done, that kind of thing supporting all my claims for legal ownership and performing work. I take pics to prove all I do to defend myself from liars competing online, not the real opal miners.

We would sell you both, either whatever, our TWO proven BLACK opal mines for that auction price, just saying. More if you wanted the entire valley holdings of going on 50 claims and millsites. I did the ground work surveying that one on EBAY and gave mining/selling advice too. We claimed all the ground on 3 sides of that pit & dug precious off them. No I dont publish all my knowledge online allowing trespassers to dig for free. It would just be parroted by those that do not respect hard work and send trespassers to steal. By taking the tour they have to look me in the face at least once & pay for a single days digging rate. Fair return for my life’s work and the personal attention.
